The Canada men’s national soccer team are going to compete in the FIFA World Cup for the third time ever. This year, they qualified as one of the co-hosts. It is going to be a big advantage for them to be at home.

This edition of FIFA’s flagship competition will take place in Canada, Mexico and the USA. This time there are going to be a total of 48 teams and it will be interesting to see how the tournament is going to roll. It will take a total of 104 games to determine the world champions.

The Canada men’s national soccer team is placed in Group B alongside Bosnia and Herzegovina, Qatar and Switzerland. Their group stage games are scheduled for June 12 in Toronto, June 18 in Vancouver, and June 24.

The Reds impressed their fans during the 2022 edition of the World Cup with their performances and will be looking to do so once again.

When will Canada announce their final squad for FIFA World Cup 2026?

The final squad of Canada is going to be unveiled on Friday, May 29. The names will be announced during a special broadcast airing simultaneously on TSN, CTV and RDS, and online on Crave via the CTV Live channel.

The head coach of Canada, Jesse March, said, “We have a group of players who are incredibly excited and ready to represent Canada at a World Cup on home soil, in front of our own fans and in our own stadiums. We are counting on the incredible support of Canadians and their passion to carry us to victory, and we are totally dedicated to making our country proud. Go Reds!”

Before the beginning of the FIFA World Cup 2026, Canada men’s national soccer team are going to compete in two international friendly matches. They will face Uzbekistan and the Republic of Ireland. This will surely help Jesse March’s men gain some momentum for the mega competition.
