In Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League final matchup with Borussia Dortmund, Thibaut Courtois is expected to start.

With the LaLiga title already secured, Los Blancos are in complete control of their preparation for their June 1 encounter at Wembley against the Bundesliga team.

To rotate players and keep them fresh for the championship game, the next four league matches are going to be utilised. To make sure his players are at their best for the big game, Carlo Ancelotti is trying to find a balance within his team.

The Italian coach will probably start with the same lineup as in the previous European action rounds, but he will have to make a crucial selection in goal.

Despite having only recently resumed playing after suffering a major knee injury, Courtois will play in La Liga this month.

Real Madrid’s run to the championship game has been greatly aided by Andriy Lunin, but he may be substituted against Dortmund.

According to Relevo’s most recent update, Ancelotti is leaning towards pragmatism in his choice because he thinks the Belgian has a better chance of winning.

After a protracted break, Courtois successfully rejoined the starting lineup against Cadiz last weekend. Due to a meniscus injury that postponed his return, the Belgian goalie missed most part of the season with an ACL tear. In his place during the season, stand-in goalie Andriy Lunin turned in some outstanding performances.

In the remaining La Liga games, Courtois will probably get more starts if Ancelotti sticks with this strategy. Before the pivotal encounter against Dortmund, these games would give the goalie critical playing time to regain top form, conditioning, and confidence.
