Chelsea injury update ahead of Arsenal clash; Cole Palmer doubtful due to illness

The forward has scored 20 league goals this season
Cole Palmer, a winger for Chelsea, is doubtful for Tuesday’s trip to Arsenal, according to manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Palmer looked to be having trouble with an injury at Wembley on Saturday during Chelsea’s FA Cup semi-final loss to Manchester City.
Since joining the Blues, the playmaker has been in incredible form, tallying 23 goals and dishing out 11 assists across all competitions.
Even though Chelsea were disappointed by their loss to City, they have made significant strides in the Premier League.
Pochettino’s team has a game in hand over their rivals for sixth place, Newcastle and Manchester United, and they are three points behind them. However, Palmer might not be present when Chelsea plays Arsenal, a rival team.
‘Today, no I don’t believe he can be involved but we will assess him tomorrow. Even if he is good tomorrow, maybe he’s not in a condition to play. Hopefully he can recover as soon as possible.’

“We are two or three games behind all of the teams above us and it is important to try and win games like this to be close to European competition next season. We are confident in one day getting (to) the same level (as Arsenal), of course.
“We are positive and always in football the most important thing is to believe. Arsenal a few years ago, they were in a different situation than today. But in time, with confidence and trust in him (Arteta), they are there. Here, it is not a different thing.”
When asked if Palmer would be playing, Pochettino replied, “We’ll see tomorrow.” We’ll evaluate him first thing tomorrow. Ben Chilwell and Marc Gusto, who both took blows during the Wembley loss, may also be out for the Blues.
Chelsea would suffer if he were to miss out on the opportunity to earn a trip to Europe. In their attempt to win the championship for the first time in twenty years, Arsenal would also benefit greatly from it.
Pochettino has also ruled out the defenders Malo Gusto and Ben Chilwell for the derby at the Emirates.
With 31 games played, Chelsea has 47 points, which puts them in ninth place in the league, three points below seventh-place Manchester United, but they still have one game remaining.
