Salah confirmed he will leave the Anfield giants after the end of the season.

After an incredible nine years at Anfield, Mohamed Salah will depart Liverpool at the end of the 2025–26 campaign. Despite holding a contract until 2027, the 33-year-old Egyptian forward—who is considered by many to be one of the team’s finest players ever—and Liverpool came to a mutual arrangement to cut ties this summer.

Since arriving from AS Roma in 2017, Salah has made more than 430 appearances for Liverpool. In addition to winning multiple Premier League crowns, a Champions League championship, and numerous individual honours, including Golden Boots, he has scored over 250 goals. His exit follows a patchy season in which he occasionally struggled.

6. Inter Miami

A proposal that would see the Egyptian King partner Lionel Messi in the MLS after leaving Liverpool, Inter Miami are prepared to compete with the Saudi Pro League’s interest in Mohamed Salah.

The Independent reported that the Herons are prepared to make Salah an offer. But to actually bring, they would need a roster reorganisation because they do not currently have any open Designated Player (DP) spots.

5. PSG

One possible path to staying in elite European football is through PSG. The Qatari-backed team regularly participates in the Champions League and has the financial capacity to match high pay expectations. Mohamed Salah could bolster an already strong team with experience and a track record of scoring goals.

4. AS Roma

It would be quite nostalgic to go back to Roma. Before moving to Liverpool, Salah had a successful stint at the Italian team, and the supporters there think highly of him. His career may be extended by Serie A’s tactical approach and reduced physical demands.

If Mohamed Salah decides to remain in Europe, a homecoming story in a familiar league is still a viable and emotional prospect, even though the financial package might not match those offered abroad.
