The German forward’s future is appearing uncertain at Tyneside.

Nick Woltemade’s tenure with Newcastle United may expire early this summer. The German international shocked the online football world by choosing to delete any reference to the Magpies from his social media accounts.

Ahead of the summer transfer window, though, there appears to be a chance that his relationship with the team has irreparably deteriorated.

Now, an early indication of exit looks likely for the striker in the summer window. We have mentioned five potential destinations for him in this piece.

List of clubs Nick Woltemade can join in the summer window

RankClubs
5Aston Villa
4PSG
3Chelsea
2Arsenal
1Bayern Munich

5. Aston Villa

Aston Villa will require a striker in the upcoming window, as their only option is Ollie Watkins. Unai Emery would want to bolster that area as they are likely to compete in the UEFA Champions League next season. Even though Nick Woltemade hasn’t been an effective centre-forward for Newcastle, he would be keen to start a new life at a different club.

Moreover, under Emery, this Premier League side have become one of the top top clubs, often competing for the Champions League spot. A potential arrival of the German striker could only increase their attacking threat.

4. PSG

PSG are another great option for the striker. Under Luis Enrique, the French club have transformed into one of the most competitive sides and with their striker dilemma, Nick Woltemade would be keen to solve it. Goncalo Ramos has been a disappointing signing for the club and has endured a patchy career so far.

Furthermore, Nick Woltemade is young and will offer more energy in the attack, which the Spanish manager demands from his players in the assault.

3. Chelsea

Chelsea have long been interested in signing the youngster since last summer, but the club decided to go with Liam Delap and Joao Pedro. With neither of them performing up to the level expected at the club, the Blues could once again look for a centre-forward in the market. Moreover, they don’t shy from splurging on a young signing, which has mainly been their objective.

But with the club’s current position, Nick Woltemade would be keen to explore his options in the summer. The Blues are once again finding themselves in an unfortunate situation and are set to miss Champions League qualification.

2. Arsenal

Finding a prolific goalscorer has been a key issue for the Gunners this season, who have struggled to find the back of the net often. The north Londoners decided to sign Victor Gyokeres last summer for a big sum, but the centre-forward has been inconsistent, scoring just 12 goals in 32 league matches this term.

There are also reports that Arsenal are looking to sell the Sweden international. So Mikel Arteta’s side can take a look at the German centre-forward who could provide that cutting edge in the box.

1. Bayern Munich

Nick Woltemade was eventually sold to Newcastle United after VfB Stuttgart declined to trade the attacker to Bayern Munich last summer. There were whispers a few months ago that Bayern Munich may try to pursue Woltemade again this summer. But if Harry Kane signs a contract deal for more than a year, it seems unlikely.

Will Nick Woltemade leave Newcastle?

It looks like he could leave the club.

Which club have been heavily interested in signing him?

Bayern have been keen to add the striker since last summer.
