Colombia missed out on the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Colombian national team formally announced the players who will play for their nation at the FIFA World Cup 2026. This will be Los Cafeteros’ first appearance on the biggest football stage after missing out on Qatar 2022
The foundation of the team that qualified was retained by Nõor Lorenzo’s team. It once again relies on a blend of attacking skill, experience, and a generation of players from South America and Europe who were in outstanding form.
With players like Luis Díaz, James Rodríguez, Richard Ríos, and Jhon Arias, Colombia aspires to rank among the continent’s most formidable teams in the US, Mexico, and Canada.
Luis Díaz will be the centre of attention. After establishing himself as one of the most explosive and dangerous players in international football and the primary attacking captain of the national side, Colombia’s biggest star makes his way to the International Cup.
The Colombian winger, who made his name at Liverpool and is now a vital member of Bayern Munich, is tasked with guiding Colombia back into the grandest stage of football.
James Rodriguez, who will participate in another World Cup while continuing to be one of the national team’s emotional and footballing leaders, is another well-known member of the group.
