Colombia are set to take on two European nations
Colombia have announced their squad for the upcoming international break matches against Spain and Romania.
During the last international break, the Colombian national team played against Venezuela and Mexico. A 1-0 win against Venezuela was followed by a 3-2 win against the Mexican side.
Spain and Colombia will play on 23 March at the London Stadium in England. Their last meeting ended in a 2-2 draw in 2017.
In their second match, Nestor Lorenzo’s side will take on Romania at the Civitas Metropolitan Stadium in Madrid.
Uncapped midfielder Juan Portilla has been named in Colombia’s squad for friendlies. Cafeteros manager Nestor Lorenzo also named Sao Paulo playmaker James Rodriguez and Racing Club midfielder Juan Fernando Quintero, both of whom have returned to form for their respective clubs after periods on the sidelines.
As expected the 26-man list includes Liverpool forward Luis Diaz, Cagliari defender Yerry Mina and veteran Al-Nassr goalkeeper David Ospina. But there was no place for 38-year-old Rayo Vallecano striker Radamel Falcao or River Plate forward Miguel Borja.
