CONFIRMED: Cristiano Ronaldo to miss Al-Nassr’s trip to India for FC Goa clash

The Portuguese striker will be rested ahead of the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo will not be traveling with Al-Nassr FC to Fatorda for their AFC Champions League Two (ACL2) group-stage encounter against FC Goa on October 22, 2025, the team has formally confirmed.

Cristiano Ronaldo has already missed the team’s last two ACL2 games, which they won handily—a 5-0 victory over FC Istiklol at home and a 2-0 triumph over Al Zawraa in Iraq. Even without their legendary forward, the Saudi team is presently leading the group and has a perfect record.

Cristiano Ronaldo to miss game against FC Goa

Accoing to TOI, Tarlier in the day, FC Goa were notified by the Saudi Pro League team that their captain will not be traveling to India, which is scheduled to arrive on Monday night. The team’s long-term strategy for managing Ronaldo’s who turned 40 this year, workload includes giving him a break.

Al-Nassr’s team is still full with international talent despite Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence, featuring Sadio Mane, Joao Felix, Inigo Martinez, and Kingsley Coman, all of whom played in their previous group-stage victories.

This will be the most difficult test yet for Goa, who are looking for their first win and points in the group stage following consecutive 2-0 and 2-1 losses.

In the meantime, Goan local officials had been waiting for confirmation of Ronaldo’s visit to finalize security plans, which will now be lowered in light of Al-Nassr’s correspondence.
