Ronaldo once again comments on the GOAT debate.
Cristiano Ronaldo has downplayed the conversation, claiming to be ahead of Lionel Messi in the greatest of all time argument.
Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo’s greatest of all time (GOAT) debate has continued for a decade. Many fans and football players have had their say on who is the best of all time.
In many interviews, Ronaldo has continued to insist that he is the best of all time and has also praised Messi. Meanwhile, the 38-year-old Argentinian legend’s answer has been rather different. He feels that they have had a great rivalry in Europe.
Despite both stars leaving Europe and playing on different continents, they continue to remain in the media’s attention. Lionel Messi is plying his trade at Inter Miami, while Ronaldo is playing for Al-Nassr.
Ronaldo says he is better than Messi

However, in a recent interview with the renowned journalist, Piers Morgan, Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed the claims of him being behind Lionel Messi in the GOAT debate.
Ronaldo said: “I don’t agree [that Messi is better]. I don’t want to be humble…”
Ronaldo has always been upfront with his comments whenever he has been asked about his comparison with Messi. The former Real Madrid star has always stated that he has been on the same level as the Argentine.
This is one of the longest rivalries football fans have ever witnessed, and despite Messi winning the World Cup, it continues to be debated to date.
Many still have mixed opinions after Messi lifted the World Cup, while Ronaldo continues his search for the ultimate glory (World Cup) with Portugal.
Next year, the 40-year-old will have one last chance at taking Portugal to the World Cup success in North America. But his primary target is to reach 1,000 career goals. He is currently at 952 goals.
Meanwhile, fans have enjoyed watching both stars continue to impress with their excellence on the biggest stages for over two decades. However, with both in the latter stages of their career, we are not far away from witnessing two of the greatest of all time finally retiring from the sport.
