Cristiano Ronaldo takes jibe at Manchester United following midweek loss to Chelsea

Cristiano Ronaldo posted a tweet with the caption “Happy days”
Cristiano Ronaldo posted a two-word message on the internet on Thursday night in the midst of Manchester United’s late loss to Chelsea.
By the moment the interval whistle went, Erik ten Hag’s team had already neutralised the Blues’ two-goal advantage thanks to goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes. After the weekend’s stalemate with Brentford, another goal from the former in the second half appeared to have clinched the win away from home. However, Diogo Dalot’s late penalty gave the visitors the advantage back, and Cole Palmer’s stoppage-time equaliser gave the United supporter even more grief when he scored the game’s winning goal 82 seconds later.
In November 2022, Ronaldo departed Man United by mutual consent following his public criticism of the team, the Glazers, manager Ten Hag, and his fellow players. His position became unsustainable during a contentious interview with Piers Morgan, which led to his exit two weeks later.
Ronaldo had declared he had no regard for Ten Hag and felt “betrayed,” accusing him and United management of attempting to get him out of the team.Shortly after, the 39-year-old signed with Saudi Pro League team Al-Nassr, where he has flourished in the Middle East.

In the last week, he netted two hat-tricks against Al-Tai and Abha, bringing his season total to 29 goals in 24 league contests and 50 goals overall for Al-Nassr.
As the unbelievable outcome set in, his social media activity served to further inflame the wounds felt by online United supporters. The theory that it was a sly jab at Ten Hag has some merit.
Ronaldo was not amused by the way he was treated and declined to enter the game as a late substitution in a 2-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur. As a result, he was left out of the next 1-1 tie at Chelsea.
Later, when Ten Hag made a guest appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, he pointed a gun at him, forcing United to sever their deal and making room for a Saudi transfer.
“I don’t have respect for him [Ten Hag] because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you,” Ronaldo told Piers Morgan during his bombshell interview.
