South London gears up to host the West Bridgford-based outfit.

Matchday 35 fixtures of the Premier League 2024-25 take us to the Selhurst Park Stadium as Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest lock horns in a thrilling clash.

The Eagles have been undergoing their longest run in the English top flight since their promotion to the Premier League back in 2013. Recently, the club made history by making it to their third-ever FA Cup Finals by defeating Aston Villa 3-0 in the Semi-Finals. Luckily, they are set to face a different Manchester outfit in the Finals, after facing heartbreak against Manchester United in both their FA Cup Finals.

Their performance in the English top flight has been pretty inconsistent, though, failing to maintain winning streaks. Currently positioned 12th, the Eagles would be keen to make the most of their home advantage when they host Nottingham Forest in the upcoming match.

One of the oldest football clubs in the world, Nottingham Forest, has fared well in continental football more than in domestic English football. The only club to win the European Cup back-to-back two times, after promotion, would be keen to bring back continental football to the East Midlands by finishing in the top five.

Currently positioned sixth, they are battling neck to neck with other teams to penetrate into the top five. Even their Europa League ambitions look bleak, given their current form. A further lapse in concentration or silly errors could see them go down further below, as Aston Villa are just a win away from levelling Forest in terms of points.

  • Stadium: Selhurst Park Stadium
  • Date: Tuesday, 6 May
  • Kick-off Time: 12:30 AM IST

Players to watch :

Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace)

Eberechi Eze, the 26-year-old English winger from Greenwich, has honed his skills in the youth academies of Arsenal and Fulham before joining Queens Park Rangers in 2016. After serving a short loan period at Wycombe Wanderers, he finally switched sides to Crystal Palace in 2020.

This season, he has so far made 30 appearances, scored 4 goals and contributed to a total of 8 assists for the Eagles. He would be keen to score a lot of goals in the upcoming match to bring a lot of happiness and joy to the local fans at Selhurst Park.

Anthony Elanga (Nottingham)

The 23-year-old Swedish sensation from Malmo has plied his trade with Manchester United during his early days. A recipient of the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year Award, he has also won the Carabao Cup with the Red Devils in the 2022-23 season.

Elanga has so far made 34 appearances for the Forest and found the back of the net 6 times this season. He would be eager to help Forest regain their momentum and aim for a top-five finish in the remaining few matches in the English top flight.
