David Beckham tipped to bring Cristiano Ronaldo & Lionel Messi together at Inter Miami

Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr deal will expire at the end of the season.

David Beckham has been urged to help “make MLS bigger than ever” by bringing Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo together at Inter Miami.

The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi was lured to the United States in 2023 by Manchester United and England great Beckham, who is currently a co-owner of the club that plays its home games in the Chase Stadium. This was one of the biggest transfer coups in world football history.

With the Leagues Cup, Supporters’ Shield, and MVP awards under his belt, the evergreen Argentine has been an incredible success both on and off the field, contributing to the international recognition of American soccer. Even though Messi is 37 years old and experiencing additional injury issues, there is no indication that he will be retiring anytime soon.

This opens the possibility of a reunion with Ronaldo, a longtime rival who is still playing for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League at the age of 40.

Ronaldo whose contract will end after the end of the season is yet to extend his deal with Al-Nassr which could see him ponder a move to MLS in the summer.

Could the Portuguese superstar be enticed to join Messi in South Florida if he were to depart the Middle East as his contract expires?

Anders Limpar, a former Arsenal and MLS great, has been asked the question. The Swede told SveaCasino.se:

“Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been there, Lionel Messi is there now and can you imagine if Cristiano Ronaldo joined him? Why not?

“It would be the icing on the cake and imagine they played together, it would be simply unbelievable. I think there is only one person who can make that happen and that is David Beckham. If you ask me, Ronaldo should leave Saudi Arabia and make MLS bigger than ever.”

The wealth available in Saudi Arabia is making it tough for American and European franchises to compete. However, pairing Messi with Ronaldo would help draw even greater attention to the most ambitious sports endeavours.
