Dortmund have begun the new season on a good note despite suffering a poor result in the last match against Stuttgart who outperformed them to secure a thumping 5-1 win. This match could prove to be a good lesson for Nuri Sahin who has been given the charge to guide the team to the top. 

Nuri Sahin, who promised the fans that they would see a much more attacking Dortmund this season, has yet to click after managing to net seven goals from four matches. However, die Schwarzgelben did put on an impressive show against Club Brugge in the Champions League opener and now will face Celtic in the next UCL outing. 

Bochum have endured a difficult start to the new Bundesliga season and are currently in the 16th position after match day four. Peter Zeidler’s side will have to start producing results to maintain their position on the safer side of the league table this season.

Last season was a wake-up call for Die Blauen after somehow managing to escape relegation. However, the early form will only concern them as they might find securing points on the road difficult.

Serhou Guirassy (Dortmund)

Serhou Guirassy enjoyed a successful campaign last term finishing as the top scorer for Stuttgart and finding himself in the second position in the Golden Boot race behind Harry Kane.

His outstanding performances were enough for Dortmund to trigger his release clause and sign him this summer. Guirassy registered 30 goals last term averaging a goal in every game which is an impressive ratio for a striker. This season he has already scored one goal from two matches.

Ibrahima Sissoko (⁠Bochum)

After starring for Strasbourg in France, Bochum were quick to secure the services of the Mali international who has developed a reputation for being an outstanding midfielder. Sissoko is a destroyer in the middle who likes to indulge himself in duels. 

His best attributes are his defensive contribution having already notched seven tackles, five interceptions, and 21 recoveries for the team in four matches. Despite the defensive work, he also has created five chances for his teammates thus far.
