Ecuador Football Federation warns players after recent New York night club incident

Ecuador Football Federation has issued a warning to players
Over the international break, Chelsea’s 16-year-old wonderkid Kendry Paez was escorted to a New York nightclub, prompting the Ecuador national federation to threaten to fire important members of their team.
On Monday, videos of Ecuadorian athletes having a good time at pubs and nightclubs in New York surfaced on social media.It is thought that the footage was captured after Ecuador defeated Guatemala 2-0 in a friendly match on Friday. Another video featured Moises Caicedo, Jeremy Sarmiento, José Cifuentes, John Yeboah, Willian Pacho, and Chelsea’s £115 million acquisition Moises Caicedo partying at TAO dining.
I saw Caicedo dancing in the video with the placard ‘Ecuador in the house’. Additional footage revealed Paez going to a strip club with teammates Gonzalo Plata and Robert Arboleda.
The teen’s appearance has sparked controversy because Paez is a minor and it is illegal for anyone under the legal age of 21 to be present.A video of Robert Arboleda of Sao Paulo, with Paez to his right, hurling money at a stripper at the bar, has drawn criticism.

The federation condemned the photos and videos claiming the footage violated their ‘values and principles’, before cautioning players have risked future call-ups to the national team.
‘Given the facts of public knowledge, the FEF expresses the following: The official delegation had free time on Friday, March 22, from 2pm to 8.30pm, a schedule that was fully complied with,’ an Ecuador Football Federation statement read.
‘Images of events contrary to the values and principles that we defend and promote as an institution have been disseminated, which will be the subject of analysis for future calls.
‘We reiterate our commitment to Ecuadorian soccer.’ From now on on my free days I will just start reading the Bible because one can’t even have fun ohhhhhhhhh I promise.’
Video of the players having fun in New York surfaced following Ecuador’s 2-0 loss to Italy in a friendly match on Sunday.Following their victory over Guatemala two days prior, players were granted free time, according to confirmation from the national federation of Ecuador.
Playing for Al-Sadd in Qatar, fellow player Plata replied to criticism by saying in a since-deleted post, “They don’t like anything, it’s bad to have fun.”The Ecuador Football Federation has already punished Arboleda and Plata for breaking disciplinary guidelines.After drinking the night before a 2017 match against Argentina, the two were reportedly five players on the national squad that received suspensions. During the 2019 Copa America, Arboleda also attended a party on the 17th floor of a hotel.
