Ecuador vs Venezuela: All-time head-to-head record | Copa America 2024

Ecuador are one of the dark horses of Copa America 2024.
Although Ecuador have never captured the Copa America, the national team have advanced to the quarterfinals in two of the last three competitions and they have placed fourth twice in the competition (1959 and 1993).
Argentina emerged victorious in 2021, ending La Tri’s odyssey. Felix Sanchez’s team hope to go through Group B, which as previously noted also consists of Mexico and Jamaica.
Ecuador won their previous friendlies against Bolivia and Honduras earlier this month and they only lost 1-0 to Argentina in their preparation games. Going into this match, Ecuador will be riding high.
With eight points from six games, Sanchez’s team started their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign well.
While they have lost two of their last three games to Colombia and Italy, Venezuela have not actually played since a scoreless tie with Guatemala at the end of March.
The team led by Fernando Batista last triumphed over Chile in October 2023. They have also started their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign well, currently sitting fourth, one spot and one point ahead of Ecuador.
La Vinotinto has never taken home the Copa America title. Their best result in the tournament occurred in 2011 when they were placed fourth.
Since then, Venezuela have advanced to the quarterfinals twice and suffered defeat repeatedly in the group stage, including during the tournament in 2021 when they were unable to win any match in the finals.
