The 2026 edition of the FIFA World Cup is around the corner. This edition of the mega competition is going to take place in Canada, Mexico and the USA. The extended tournament will have a total of 48 teams this time.
The England national football team have unveiled the final 26-man list of players who are going to represent them on the biggest stage of them all. The roster consists of in-form stars across different football leagues. Most of the players (21) are from the English Premier League.
The English squad is placed in Group L for the FIFA World Cup 2026. They will battle it out against Croatia, Ghana and Panama in the group stage. Before stepping on the world stage, Thomas Tuchel’s men are scheduled to play a couple of friendlies against New Zealand and Costa Rica, respectively.
The head coach, Thomas Tuchel, helped the Three Lions perform well during the World Cup qualifiers with the help of his tactics. But their efforts in the last two friendly outings have not looked top of the line. They were held to a 1-1 draw by Uruguay and then faced a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Japan.
To manage one of the biggest teams in world football, it is not an easy task. Thomas Tuchel is doing decently well. But he will also need a captain who can help the side maintain calm and composure on the pitch.

The 32-year-old has scored 50 goals this season for the Bundesliga giants. In 112 appearances for the Three Lions, Kane has scored 78 goals and will now be looking to add more to his tally. He will lead the attack for England and is going to be a constant threat to the opponent’s defence.
