After unveiling the final 26-man squad, the England national football team are now preparing heavily for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. They are one of the favourites to win the flagship tournament, which is set to take place in Canada, Mexico and the USA.
The mega competition will kick off on June 11 and it will be interesting to see the performances put up by the teams from all around the world.
Names like Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford are going to be crucial in the final third. Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham, Kobbie Mainoo and others will be looking to establish control in the midfield.
John Stones, Nico O’Reilly, Marc Guéhi and Reece James are some strong options to make up the defensive wall for the Three Lions. Dean Henderson, Jordan Pickford and James Trafford are the goalkeepers opted by Thomas Tuchel.
“We will take some young players out who will train with us and keep the squad at the size we need so we have all the possibilities for the two friendly matches to take care about the minutes and load of the players. Alex Scott is confirmed, Rio Ngumoha is confirmed, and Josh King,” said Tuchel.

The Thomas Tuchel-led side is placed in Group L of the FIFA World Cup 2026 alongside Croatia, Ghana and Panama.
