Pep says Haaland injury isn’t severe and he could be available to face Seagulls
Star striker Erling Haaland’s absence from Manchester City’s next match against Brighton has been announced by Pep Guardiola. When the title contenders play the Seagulls in the Premier League on Thursday, they are going to be missing their leading scorer.
Due to a muscular issue, Erling Haaland was unable to play in the FA Cup semi-final triumph against Chelsea last Saturday. Guardiola has since confirmed that Haaland will not play at the Amex Stadium.
Guardiola is upbeat despite the loss for the Norwegian striker, who has scored 20 goals this season, and he even hinted that Haaland would play against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Phil Foden and John Stones, meanwhile, are cleared to play after overcoming health concerns, which is good news for City.
With two games remaining, City, now four points behind Arsenal, will be eager to catch up. Liverpool, on the other hand, will be being watched as they prepare for Wednesday night’s Merseyside derby.
Third-placed Manchester City are four points below leaders Arsenal, who defeated Chelsea 5-0 on Tuesday, as an intense title battle nears its conclusion.

Guardiola provided an update, saying, “Erling is not ready for tomorrow, the other two they are ready. I know it is not a big issue, but he is not allowed for this game.”
Real Madrid’s painful penalty shootout victory put an end to City’s dreams of repeating as champions in the Premier League. City was once again the favourite to win the Triple Crown, but they lost on penalty kicks, allowing Real to go to the semifinals.
With a few games remaining in the season, the competition for the title is getting closer, but they are still on track to repeat the domestic double, and Guardiola is desperate to win both the FA Cup and the league.
