Sean Dyche’s side are favourites to progress in the next round against the League One team.

Everton begin their tenure in the FA Cup welcoming League One side Peterborough United in the round three. They have the home advantage on their side as this clash will take place at Goodison Park on Thursday night.

Everton have endured a mixed campaign so far in the Premier League as they languish in the 16th position. The Toffees have accumulated 17 points this season from the starting 19 matches. Although they have been inconsistent with their performances, they have secured some impressive results against Manchester City and Chelsea. They are now set to begin their reign in the FA Cup as they take on Peterborough United as Sean Dyche aims to give his fringe players some minutes here.

Peterborough United on the other hand are struggling at the moment to secure results in League One. They are without a win in their last five matches losing four and drawing once against Burton in round 24. In the last match, they were moments away from a draw until Steven Fletcher stepped up to secure the winner for Wrexham. Unlike Premier League oppositions, Peterborough United had to secure a 4-3 win against Notts County in the last round to secure their place.

Players to Watch

Iliman Ndiaye (Everton)

The summer signing from Marseille has made an instant impact within the Everton side scoring four goals for them in all competitions. He has showcased his brilliance at moments this season but will have to be more consistent with his performance going forward. It was his goal against Manchester City which brought the Toffees a much-deserved draw after he scored a fine goal. Keep an eye on him as he can terrorize the League One side with his quick feet and dribbling skills.

Kwame Poku (Peterborough United)

Kwame Poku has been in fine form for Peterborough United this season in the League One. The Ghanaian international has scored ten goals from 17 appearances while also making five assists. This campaign looks to be the breakthrough year for him having already reached ten goals with 12 his previous best for the club. In his last four matches, Poku has registered three goals and one assist to emerge as the key man for the team.
