Los Blancos have come under intense scrutiny in recent days.
While Kylian Mbappé’s injury mishandling has made Real Madrid a laughingstock, a former employee is once again criticising the elite team.
After the strange disclosure of a misdiagnosis involving Mbappé, Itziar Gonzalez de Arriba, a former nutritionist for the Royal Family, spoke out and once again had nothing but negative things to say about her longtime employer.

She responded with her Instagram story to rumours that the French superstar’s wrong knee had been evaluated by Real Madrid, potentially leading to a more catastrophic injury:
“I don’t know what’s worse: this, or the fact that the distribution of supplements comes from the free version of ChatGPT.”
To her astonishment, Gonzalez de Arriba was relieved of her responsibilities before the start of the season. She then accused Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, and others of manipulation.
It seems that her work was so effective that two players went straight to Perez to inform him of the improvements. But there had been significant tensions as a result.
The players were reportedly instructed by the medical department to stop obeying Gonzalez de Arriba’s orders as a result. Many professionals made an effort to follow their dietary programs in spite of the pressure, sometimes in conjunction with medical guidance.
At the time, the remarks appeared well-timed, as a number of important players were already dealing with injuries. The situation involving Mbappé is believed to have been a major factor behind sweeping changes in Real Madrid’s medical department early in the year, with several staff members let go. Dr Niko Mihic later resumed his role as head of the unit after having left the position at the end of 2023.
Who is the club’s former nutritionist?
Itziar Gonzalez de Arriba.
Who is the Chief Medical Advisor for the Real Madrid medical team?
Dr Niko Mihic.
