Top eight favourites to win UEFA Euro 2024

7. Italy 5%

Italy are the defending champions of the tournament. They went past a strong England team in the penalties in the final of the UEFA Euro 2020 in 2021. However, they did not have a consistent performance in the last few years as they could not qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2022.

They will be looking to come back hard and will try to repeat their championship-winning performance in this year’s tournament. Opta’s supercomputer has given Italy a 5% chance of winning the UEFA Euro 2024.

6. Netherlands 5.1%

Netherlands might turn out as one of the dark horses in the tournament under Ronald Koeman. Koeman has got a talented bunch of players after Louis van Gaal took the Dutch team to the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup 2022 where they ultimately lost to Argentina. 5. Portugal 9.2%

Roberto Martinez will face his first real test as the coach of the Selecao side. Opta’s supercomputer has given Portugal a 9.2% chance of winning the UEFA Euro 2024.

4. Spain 9.6%

The golden generation of the Spanish national team is over with the FIFA World Cup 2022. Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba were the final two players of one of the most legendary sides in the history of the game. A young and next-generation Spanish team will be coached by Luis de la Fuente in the Euro 2024. Opta’s supercomputer has still given a 9.6% chance to Spain for winning this edition.

3. Germany 12.4%

The three-time champions have had some torrid time and bad results in the last few tournaments. Germany will be re-energized and want to prove a point on their home soil in the UEFA Euro 2024. England are the favourites of the UEFA Euro 2024. In the last few tournaments, fans and analysts have had a lot of expectations of England but they have not managed to fulfil it.

However, the hype is at its highest going into the UEFA Euro 2024. This is their best chance to bring the trophy back home. So, Opta’s Supercomputer has given them a 19.9% chance of winning the Euro 2024.
