Feyenoord vs AS Monaco Predicted lineup, betting tips, odds, injury news, H2H, telecast | Pre-season friendlies 2024
Winless French side to take on former Eredivisie champions.
Arne Slot was inches away from propelling Feyenoord to their second championship title in the Dutch top division in two consecutive seasons. The void precipitated by Slot’s recent transfer to Liverpool has sent shockwaves cascading through the heart of Rotterdam’s fan community. Despite this setback, Brian Priske, Feyenoord’s new head coach, sought to ameliorate the void, with the Rotterdam outfit securing triumphs in all their pre-season matches except for the last one.
Likewise, AS Monaco experienced a comparable outcome, falling just short against PSG in their aspiration to be anointed the champions of Ligue 1. Monaco, however, are yet to register a single win in their pre-season campaign. After narrowly going down to Servette in their opening fixture, Monaco played two entertaining draws against Cercle Brugge and SK Sturm Graz.
We can expect a thrilling goal frenzy clash when Feyenoord lock horns against winless Monaco. The French club will be keen to turn the tides in their favour in order to secure their maiden win of their pre-season campaign.

Wednesday, 31 July 2024 at 11 PM IST

Form:
Feyenoord (in all competitions): L-W-W-W-W

Players to watch:
Santiago Gimenez (Feyenoord)
The Mexican centre-forward has so far made 62 appearances for the Rotterdam-based outfit and netted 38 goals. Before plying his trade with the Feyenoord, Gimenez played 88 matches for Cruz Azul spanning almost half a decade. Gimenez made his national team debut for Mexico in 2021 during a friendly fixture against Ecuador. Since then he has made 30 appearances for the Mexican team and scored four goals.
Takumi Minamino (AS Monaco)
The 29-year-old Japanese winger from Izumisano made over a century of appearances for Red Bull Salzburg. He also made 30 appearances for Liverpool before signing for the French-based outfit in 2022. Minamino has so far made 48 appearances and found the back of the net on 10 occasions for AS Monaco.
Once Jurgen Klopp after a match against Ajax said, “Minamino is everywhere, he defends like a devil and then offensively he’s really involved.”

Injury and team news:
The Rotterdam-based franchise will most likely miss the presence of Argentine centre forward, Julian Carranza; Dutch midfielder Quinten Timber; and defenders, Gijs Smal and Quilindschy Hartman.
