FIFA Club World Cup 2025: All Round of 16 matches confirmed so far

Lionel Messi is set to face his former club PSG in the last 16.

All of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup group stage matches for both Group A and Group B are completed and the top two teams from both of these groups will march on to battle in the round of 16.

From Group A, Palmeiras and Inter Miami have sealed spots in the last 16. The Brazilian club finished on top and the Herons finished second. In three group stage fixtures, they have only secured a single win and the remaining two matches ended in a draw for them.

Brazil-based clubs are doing well in the tournament as Flamengo defeated Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain fell prey to Botafogo in their respective group stage games. We might see some more unexpected results from the remaining matches of the mega competition. Three Brazilian clubs have already qualified for the round of 16.

The tournament is only going to be tougher for all the teams going forward. It will now be a must-win situation for every team once they reach the knockout stage. As every team will get a single chance, they are likely to come up with their best performances.

One of the top European clubs, Atletico Madrid, have been knocked out of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 as they failed to perform as per their standards.

Even from Group G, we have Juventus and Manchester City going forward. Bayern Munich is the only club from Group C as of now and Flamengo from Group D. The upcoming group stage games will determine the remaining contenders for the last 16.

The UEFA Champions League winners, PSG will take on Inter Miami in the round of 16. It is going to be an interesting fixture as Lionel Messi will face his former club.

The other fixture which has been decided is that Palmeiras will battle Botafogo in the Brazilian showdown. Both teams have faced each other numerous times and it will be interesting to see which team will outplay the other.
