FIFA World Cup 2026 Group L final standings

England and Croatia have secured direct qualification from Group L.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is nearing its knockout stages, with the final round of group stage games being played in double-headers across four days. England took on Panama, and Croatia faced off against Ghana in simultaneous kick-offs on June 27, with the results dictating the final Group L standings.

England sealed a comfortable 2-0 win over Panama, securing their status as group champions. Goals from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane earned a victory for the Three Lions, who finished first with seven points.

Croatia sealed a thrilling 2-1 win over Ghana in the other fixture, ensuring that they remained in second place in the standings. The Vatreni took the lead in the first half, courtesy of a long-range goal from Petar Sucic. Derrick Luckassen equalised for the Black Stars in the 73rd minute, but Nikola Vlasic’s late strike sealed all three points for his side.

The results left Ghana in third place with four points. Panama, meanwhile, finished last in the group standings with no points, having lost all three of their games – similar to what happened in 2018.
