Five key player battles to watch during USA vs Paraguay FIFA World Cup 2026 clash

The USA secured a huge win in their opening match.

Canada gained a historic point by drawing against a tenacious Bosnia-Herzegovina in a Group B game at the FIFA World Cup. It was thanks to a 78th-minute goal from substitute Cyle Larin. Later that night, the United States began their campaign with a resounding 4-1 victory over Paraguay in Los Angeles.

Jovo Lukic gave Bosnia the lead in the 21st minute. It appeared that they would leave Toronto Stadium with all three points until Larin scored for the host nation.

In addition to their tremendous triumph over Paraguay, the United States claimed some history. Folarin Balogun scored twice in the Americans’ historic three-goal first half. The United States began its first home FIFA World Cup in 32 years with its largest victory in the competition.
