The footballing world is preparing for its ultimate spectacle. The 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament is only a day away from its grand commencement.
The 2026 edition will be one of the most historic campaigns to date, with the competition set to be co-hosted by the USA, Mexico and Canada. It will be the first World Cup to be held on the continent after 32 years, since the 1994 tournament in the USA. The newest edition will feature a record 48 nations, a massive increase from the previous 32.
With the participating nations completing their final warm-up games, the high level of athleticism of some of the teams on display has been truly astonishing.

World Cup teams ranked by Heights

According to the official squad lists for the tournament, asian side Saudi Arabia will be the shortest side in the competition, with an average height of 178.4 cm, followed by South Africa at 178.8 cm.
On the other side, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Norway will be the tallest teams to feature in the World Cup at 187.2cm. This is largely attributed to the geographical location of these nations.
