5. Cape Verde (Rank 68)

The Blue Sharks topped their CAF World Cup qualifier Group D. They are now making their debut on the world stage. Cape Verde national football team are placed along with the likes of Spain, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.
They are placed in Group H. They are likely not to have an easy run in the group stage. Bubista’s men did well during their WC qualifiers, but at the biggest stage of football, they can face some issues.

The Ghana national football team are going to appear on the grandest stage of them all for the fifth time. They performed well during CAF World Cup qualifiers, but their recent performances have not been good enough.
The Black Stars have drawn in Group L for the mega competition. The Carlos Queiroz-led side will face England, Croatia and Panama. They are all set to take on the Canal Men in their opening game.

After 1974, the Haiti national football team are going to compete in the FIFA World Cup for the first time. This will be their second overall appearance on the biggest stage of football. After topping their group in the Concacaf World Cup qualifiers, they secured an easy spot to compete in the mega competition.
For the upcoming edition of the flagship tournament, Les Grenadiers are in Group C. Sébastien Migné’s men will face Brazil, Morocco and Scotland in what is going to be a very tough group stage for them.

2. Curacao (Rank 83)

The Dick Advocaat-led side were undefeated during their Concacaf World Cup qualifiers. With a population of just over 150,000, Curacao became the smallest nation to qualify for the mega competition.
The Blue Waves have been placed in Group E for the FIFA World Cup 2026. The Curacao national football team will face Germany in their opening game on June 14. They will then take on Ecuador and Ivory Coast later in the group stage.

All Whites secured wins in all five matches of the OFC World Cup qualifiers and qualified directly for the mega competition. The New Zealand national football team will now be looking to replicate their top performances on the grandest stage of them all. The Darren Bazeley-led side are placed in Group G.
They will take on the likes of Belgium, Egypt and Iran.
