FIFA World Cup 2026: Top scorers, most assists & most clean sheets after USA vs Paraguay

With a brace, USA’s Folarin Balogun leads the scoring charts.
Two co-hosts of the 2026 FIFA World Cup began their campaigns on Day 2 in Toronto and Los Angeles following Mexico’s victory on the first day. Meanwhile, South Korea came from behind to secure a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic.
Canada earned its first World Cup point with a 1-1 draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina. They overcame an early goal by Jovo Lukic, with Cyle Larin saving the day for Jesse Marsch’s team.
The United States, meanwhile, had a solid start to their World Cup with a thrilling 4-1 victory over Paraguay in Los Angeles. Folarin Balogun and Christian Pulisic shone, particularly in the first half. The Americans played some superb football.
However, the trophy isn’t the only prize at stake at the event. There will also be recognition for the players with the most goals, most assists and most clean sheets.

The top scorer will earn the Golden Boot during the prize distribution ceremony, while the goalkeeper with the most clean sheets will earn the Golden Glove.
