The Round of 32 stage of the FIFA World Cup will end on July 3.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 knockout phase is fully underway, with the Round of 32 fixtures coming thick and fast. The best teams in the tournament are facing off in do-or-die clashes, with big names like Brazil and Morocco entering the last 16.
Norway sealed their place in the next stage with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Ivory Coast. Antonio Nusa put the Vikings ahead with a brilliant finish into the top corner before half-time. Les Elephants improved after the break, and head coach Emerse Fae’s changes made an immediate impact when Amad Diallo scored a wonder goal in the 74th minute.
The game looked headed for extra time and, potentially, a penalty shootout. However, talismanic striker Erling Haaland turned up at the right moment to seal the win for his side. After being assisted by Patrick Berg, he scored a simple tap-in in the 86th minute to send his side to the Round of 16.
