It will be a hard task for PSG to replace their talisman

He informed the higher hierarchy of his intention to leave PSG in the summer transfer window, which means Kylian Mbappe’s time at the club is coming to an end. Initially, Kylian Mbappe and PSG seemed like a match made in heaven as the French international became one of the world’s best players while playing for the club. It is undeniable that he has contributed to the team on a huge note, and he will be considered as one of the best players to represent PSG.

PSG will have a hard time replacing a player who consistently scores 30 or more goals for them each season. With the semi-final match against Dortmund on the horizon, Kylian Mbappe is eager to finish the season on a high note. A Champions League victory would serve as the perfect way to bid adieu to Les Parisiens.

Let’s take a look at the top five players who can replace Kylian Mbappe at PSG:

5. Gabriel Martinelli

As the Arsenal man hasn’t reached his full potential and can create havoc on the left wing with his pace and directness, he’s one of the world’s best wingers at the moment and can be the perfect answer to Kylian Mbappe at PSG. As of this season, he has scored eight goals and provided five assists for his team. With each passing game, he seems to improve his performance for the Gunners in the Premier League.

He has a long-term contract with Arsenal and is considered an important player both now and in the future, so signing him would require a significant amount of money.

4. Joao Felix

Joao Felix is another name that is available on the transfer market this summer. It is still unclear whether Barcelona will make his loan into a permanent transfer as they have to abide by Financial Fair Play laws. He has scored 10 goals in Barcelona’s colours and provided 5 assists.

It will be difficult for Barcelona to sign him if Atletico Madrid do not reduce their asking price, so PSG will have an opportunity to do so since they have the resources to do so. With his flicks and creativity, Joao Felix will enhance the team’s performance, bringing an X-factor to the team.

3. Marcus Rashford

In the past few years, PSG has been watching Rashford’s career closely. Now that he is struggling at Manchester United, he may be the perfect candidate to move elsewhere to kickstart his career again. In spite of having 8 goals to his name this season, Rashford knows he’s below par compared to his usual self.

A move to PSG will benefit both sides as PSG will get a proven goal scorer, while Rashford will find a team where he’s more at ease.

2. Rafael Leao

PSG should consider Rafael Leao to replace Kylian Mbappe as he brings something different to the table. He has some qualities in common with him in that they are both direct in their play and use speed to get past defenders. PSG’s quality in their team can unlock his potential to reach something similar to him. He has 13 goals and 11 assists this season. These numbers don’t match up with his, but PSG’s quality can unlock his potential.

1. Victor Osimhen

After extending his contract with Napoli for one year, Victor Osimhen’s release clause has increased to $143 so interested clubs will have to pay a substantial sum to secure his signature. Nevertheless, it is a risk that clubs will be willing to take, as he has scored 74 goals in 128 appearances for the club since signing from Lille. He played a major role in Napoli’s Scudetto success last season, scoring 26 goals.
