The Naples-based team have already removed Osimhen from their squad for the rest of the season.

According to the most recent development in the ongoing transfer issue involving Victor Osimhen, Napoli have reportedly started negotiations with a new team over the striker’s potential exit.

The main talk of the summer transfer window was Osimhen, 25. The Nigerian striker was strongly linked to both a lucrative switch to Saudi Arabia’s Pro League and a move to Chelsea.

To Antonio Conte’s disbelief, the 25-year-old was obliged to stay in Naples as neither chance came to pass. Osimhen is no longer needed, according to the Italian. The club have even acquired Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea and given him the number nine shirt.

‘No, this is the team. This is the group,’ Conte said after his Napoli’s 2-1 win over Palma on Saturday.

‘We made decisions. I mentioned coherence before. Those who are not consistent don’t respect the rules. I repeat, respect to the club. The president proved consistent despite losing important money, credit where credit is due.

‘The club were consistent, knowing that if the situation had unlocked earlier, we would all have been advantaged. As I said, we’ve started rebuilding. Good players arrived. They were on the table. It took us time to understand and think about it, but we signed them, and I am happy.

Osimhen’s future is incredibly unpredictable at this point because several transfer windows have closed. The Nigerian’s agent has to put in a lot of effort to find a solution for his star client’s imminent future.

Additionally, Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport recently revealed that Napoli and Galatasaray, a Turkish team, are negotiating over a potential transfer for Osimhen.

In a post with an update, Hawkins stated that the player has already given his approval for the potential arrangement with Galatasaray, which is reportedly for a short-term loan.

The 25-year-old’s only alternative may be to make an unexpected transfer to the Istanbul-based team after omission from the Napoli squad. Turkey’s transfer window is yet to close.

Galatasaray are looking for a striker to replace Mauro Icardi, who will be out for at least a month due to a hamstring injury. They are playing Tottenham in the UEFA Europe League in November. Moreover, Galatasaray have won all three of their matches so far in the Turkish Super Lig this season.
