Germany announce squad for March international break; Jamal Musiala included

Die Mannschaft will face Italy in a two-legged quarter-final tie.
The Germany team for the forthcoming international break, where they will play in the Nations League, has been confirmed by Julian Nagelsmann.
The addition of Nadiem Amiri of Mainz represents the announcement’s biggest revelation in the squad. With six goals and three assists, the midfielder has made a comeback in the national team and is an important part of Mainz’s quest for Champions League football next season.
After almost five years away from the national squad, Amiri is back. He last played for Die Mannschaft in November 2020, against Czechia.
Additionally, Karim Adeyemi has also been called up. He was last seen in the squad for the 2022 World Cup but has been playing for Germany’s under-21s during the previous international breaks. Leon Goretzka, who has not been in the squad since November 2023, is also back.
Elsewhere, Yann Aurel Bisseck, a defender for Inter Milan, makes his debut in the national team squad. Throughout the season, the 24-year-old former Köln academy graduate has established himself as a mainstay in Simone Inzaghi’s starting lineup.
Germany will play Italy in the quarterfinals of the Nations League during the break. The San Siro in Milan will host the opening game on the 20th, while Dortmund will host the second leg on the 23rd.
