Unai Simon played a crucial role in helping Spain reclaim the honour of becoming the European Champions in 2024. The 27-year-old Spanish custodian is a product of Bilbao‘s youth academy and joined Basconia in 2014.

After playing two seasons for the Basauri outfit, he joined the reserves side of Bilbao. Since then, he has never looked back and delivered solid performances between the sticks. It resulted in his promotion to the senior team squad.
