Yes. The Norway national football team initiated their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign with a 4-1 win against Iraq. In their second fixture, they made a comeback against Senegal to secure a 3-2 win. This victory was enough for them to secure a berth in the round of 32.
The Vikings are now all set to battle it out against the Ivory Coast to secure a spot in the last 16.
Norway underperformed in the final group stage of the FIFA World Cup. They fell prey to France by 1-4 and as a result, finished second in Group I. Top players like Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard were rested for the game. Ståle Solbakken’s men must focus on their defence, or it will continue to be a big problem for them in the knockout stage.
