Only four midfielders have scored 50 or more Premier League goals in the club’s history

Juan Mata – 34

Juan Mata’s arrival at Manchester United in 2014 from Chelsea was seen as a major coup. Despite having a roller coaster of a career at the Red Devils, the Spaniard accumulated 34 goals in the Premier League for them.

In terms of overall statistics, Mata played 285 matches for Manchester United in which he scored 51 times and assisted 45 times. He won the UEFA Europa League with the Red Devils, in addition to an FA Cup and an EFL Cup.

Bruno Fernandes – 50

Bruno Fernandes reached the 50-goal milestone in the Premier League with a goal from 40 yards out against arch-rivals Liverpool. He has already scored 74 goals and made 62 assists in all competitions for the Red Devils in 226 overall appearances.

Manchester United’s global fanbase has rightly given Bruno Fernandes respect and honour due to the astonishing stats which put him in the company of some of the club’s most decorated midfielders. 

David Beckham – 62

David Beckham was one of the most iconic footballers during his playing days. He scored 62 goals in the Premier League alone for Manchester United. Overall, the Englishman featured for the Red Devils in 394 matches, scoring 85 goals and making 120 assists.

David Beckham is considered a legendary figure at the club who won six Premier League titles and a UEFA Champions League crown with Manchester United among other major trophies.

Paul Scholes – 107

Paul Scholes is regarded as one of the most outstanding midfielders of his generation in the world, respected by his peers and experts. The legendary Englishman scored a whopping 107 goals in the Premier League alone for Manchester United. He went on to play 716 matches for the Red Devils, never featuring for any other club in his career.

Paul Scholes won a jaw-dropping 11 Premier League titles and two UEFA Champions League titles with Manchester United in addition to multiple major honours.

Ryan Giggs – 109

Ryan Giggs is claimed to be one of the greatest players to represent Manchester United. He dedicated his entire playing career to the Red Devils and scored 109 times in the league, becoming the highest-scoring midfielder for the club in the Premier League.

Ryan Giggs holds the record for making the most appearances for Manchester United in all competitions, featuring 963 times between 1991 and 2014 during which he scored 167 goals and made 255 assists. He won the Premier League 13 times for the Red Devils and two UEFA Champions League titles as well.
