Top five highest-scoring Manchester United midfielders in Premier League history

Only four midfielders have scored 50 or more Premier League goals in the club’s history

In terms of overall statistics, Mata played 285 matches for Manchester United in which he scored 51 times and assisted 45 times. He won the UEFA Europa League with the Red Devils, in addition to an FA Cup and an EFL Cup.

4. David Beckham – 62 goals

David Beckham was one of the most iconic footballers during his playing days. He scored 62 goals in the Premier League alone for Manchester United. Overall, the Englishman featured for the Red Devils in 394 matches, scoring 85 goals and making 120 assists.

David Beckham is considered a legendary figure at the club who won six Premier League titles and a UEFA Champions League crown with Manchester United, among other major trophies.

3. Bruno Fernandes – 64 goals

Bruno Fernandes reached the 64-goal milestone in the Premier League 2025-26 with a goal against Cheslea, while doing so, he also became one of the only four midfielders to score 100 goals for the club in all competitions for the Red Devils.

1. Ryan Giggs – 109 goals

Ryan Giggs is claimed to be one of the greatest players to represent Manchester United. He dedicated his entire playing career to the Red Devils and scored 109 times in the league, becoming the highest-scoring midfielder for the club in the Premier League.

Ryan Giggs holds the record for making the most appearances for Manchester United in all competitions, featuring 963 times between 1991 and 2014, during which he scored 167 goals and made 255 assists. He won the Premier League 13 times for the Red Devils and two UEFA Champions League titles as well.
