Houston Dynamo vs Seattle Sounders Prediction, lineups, betting tips & odds
Bel Olsen seeks redemption against the Sounders in the upcoming best-of-three fixture.
Houston Dynamo are set to lock horns against the Seattle-based outfit in the second fixture of the best-of-three clashes in the Shell Energy Stadium in Houston.
Houston Dynamo fared well in the regular season, finishing fifth in the Western conference table of Major League Soccer, just a position as well as a win behind their immediate opponent Seattle Sounders. The Houston-based franchise’s form has been quite inconsistent recently. After a win over the New England side, the ten-man side went down to St. Louis badly by a scoreline of 3-0.
Seattle Sounders faced a stiff competition against Houston in the opening fixture of the best-of-three clashes. Despite being down to ten men in the 66th minute, Houston ensured that the deadlocks remained unbroken. 19 shots, eight corners and controlling 55% possession were not sufficient as the defensive solidarity of their opponents saw them taking the match to penalty shootouts.
However, Seattle had the last laugh after they clinched an entertaining victory over the resilient Houston side by 5-4 in the penalty shootouts.

Joao Paulo (Seattle Sounders):
The 33-year-old veteran Brazilian midfielder from Serafina Correa plied his trade with several clubs like Santa Cruz, Botafogo, and Goias before joining Seattle permanently in 2021.
