Cristiano Ronaldo set to face two-match ban after his alleged act against opposition player

The Saudi Super Cup semifinal match between Al Nassr and Al Hilal ended with the Portuguese star losing his cool.

On May 1, they will play the second of those two teams in the King Cup of Champions semifinals. Ronaldo will be eligible to play again in 2024 when they will try to win more significant hardware.

An emotional rollercoaster, Al Hilal vs. Al Nassr was the Saudi Super Cup. Jorge Jesus’ team defeated Luis Castro and company 2-1, dominating their bitter opponents. The big event of the match, though, was Cristiano Ronaldo’s dismissal.

The number of games he will lose as a result of this suspension is a concern as the fallout from the Riyadh Derby continues to make waves in the soccer world.

Al Nassr maintained a strong foothold in the game. But the VAR intervention disregarded everything they had tried. With Salem Aldawsari’s assistance, Al Hilal took the lead with a goal as the first half came to a draw.

Malcom increased the Blues Waves’ lead a few minutes later. Unfortunately, Ronaldo was given a straight red card for his argument over the goal that was not given. He had previously been on a yellow card and paid the price for his act amid the game.
