How many goals has Lionel Messi scored in 2024?

The Argentine star won two trophies in 2024
Lionel Messi’s second season with Inter Miami saw him finally lead the club to the MLS Supporter’s Shield, but the only trophy the forward failed to spearhead them to was the MLS Cup.
Meanwhile, with Argentina, Lionel Messi achieved another Copa America, but this time he only had a goal in the competition. With the National team, Messi didn’t score enough goals ending the year with five goals with the South American giants.
However, looking back to the end of the current season the former Barcelona player had a better term compared to his first campaign at MLS. The 37-year-old initial season with Inter Miami saw him score only 11 goals in 14 games across all competitions.
Meanwhile, this season he has performed brilliantly and it might have been way better had he not suffered constant injuries, which saw him miss a lot of matches.
One of the major injuries the former Paris Saint-Germain forward suffered was an ankle problem during Argentina’s win against Colombia in the Copa America final. This saw him miss four matches after he had already missed five encounters after representing the national team in the Copa America.
Nonetheless, had a great campaign with Herons as he led them to another trophy, but his season might have concluded on a better note had Inter Miami won the MLS Cup.
