Hungary announce 26-man squad for Euro 2024; Liverpool Dominik Szoboszlai included

Hungary are a part of Group A
Hungary coach Marco Rossi has announced his 26-man squad for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany. The Hungarian side will make their first appearance in the competition. They are tied with hosts Germany, Scotland and Switzerland in Group A.
Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has been named the national team captain. Following the squad announcement, the coach said,
“I have to say that after a long time – including key players – everyone can be called up. There are two question marks, Fiola and Lang, but of course we are in contact with them. Our medical staff have also consulted them, thus it looks like they can join us. Since September 2022, we have not had a preparation without a missing player, I am very happy,” Rossi emphasized.
The coach also commented on whether he chooses Dibusz or Gulacsi for the starting team: “I have an idea, but I have not decided yet. Once I have made it, I will talk to them at the same time. It will not be easy to say the final answer, but they both know very well how much I value them both professionally and as people. (…) This squad is absolutely competitive. 99 per cent that they will win, but they must be on their guard,” he concluded.
The team will meet in Telki (near Budapest) for training on May 27. However, four players – Martin Adam, Daniel Gazdag, Bendeguz Bolla, and Callum Styles – will join the squad later due to club commitments.
