Hungary vs Turkey Prediction, lineups, betting tips & odds

The Magyars will take on the Crescent Stars in the second leg of the UEFA Nations League.
Hungary will welcome Turkey to Budapest for Sunday’s second leg of their UEFA Nations League playoff tie. The hosts finished in third position behind Germany and the Netherlands in League A3. On the other hand, Turkey finished in second place in Group B4.
Hungary are set to compete in the second leg after they lost the first leg by 3-1. The Magyars will have to bounce from that defeat at home to beat the Crescent Stars. Hungary do have a good record against Turkey but coming from a two-goal deficit will not be an easy task at all. They did play a good game in the first leg but didn’t finish their chances which led to their defeat.
The Crescent stars have a good chance to secure back-to-back promotions after coming up from League C in the 2022-23 Nations League. Turkey tactically outclassed Hungary in the first leg and will be full of confidence going into the second leg as they have a two-goal cushion. Before the first leg fixture, Turkey were winless against Hungary in the last five games. But somehow they did manage to break the run to get a win in the first leg.

Players to Watch
Milos Kerkez (Hungary)
Kerkez is able to cover up big gaps during transitions. He can drop between the lines and always has a proper sense of positioning. He plays a significant role in stretching the opposition’s defence.
Kerkez has a good ball-striking ability and always tries to come in a situation to either provide a key pass or shoot himself. His crosses are of high quality and that has provided fruitful results. In terms of defending he can improve more as he does make some mistakes.
Overall he is a fine player who can make a difference on the field. In 29 matches in the Premier League this season, he has scored two goals and has provided five assists.
Orkun Kokcu (Turkey)
He has an elite passing, delivery and shooting ability off both feet which makes him unpredictable. This is a key aspect in making him so good creatively. When defending against him, it’s hard to know what he will do next because he can go past you with both feet or pick out passes no one else can see.
The Turkish international is a genuine goal threat, whether it’s outside from the box or making runs into the box, his finishing and shooting ability from both feet is top quality. In 24 matches in Liga Portugal, he has scored six goals and provided four assists.

Match Prediction
Hungary played a good game in the first leg but the results ended in favour of the home team. Surely in the second leg, they have to be more clinical to come back from a two-goal deficit. Turkey played a very smart game at home which got them the results. Surely they will look to do the same in the second leg as well. Most probably the second leg will end in a stalemate.
Prediction: Hungary 1-1 Turkey
