In an attempt to write his name in yet another chapter of football history, the Argentine star will captain MLS team Inter Miami in the international competition. The buzz created by Messi’s appearance is undeniable, even in light of doubts over Miami’s eligibility.
Messi, who turns 38 on June 24, may not have the lightning-fast speed of his best days, but his leadership, skill, and vision are still unrivalled.
He offers a wealth of knowledge and a winning attitude that might motivate Miami on the big stage. Moreover, he is surrounded by an increasingly competitive MLS team to make things work.
In addition to being a significant accomplishment for Inter Miami, the win will help the United States as a whole. The USA will further co-host the FIFA World Cup 2026 alongside Canada and Mexico.
