According to reports, after his superstar son was substituted off at halftime, Jobe Bellingham’s father aggressively approached the Dortmund chief outside the dressing room.

Following Borussia Dortmund’s frustrating 3-3 draw against St. Pauli, Jobe Bellingham’s father, Mark, purportedly took things into his own hands, which sparked a tense backstage situation.

Following Dortmund’s dismal stalemate, tensions in the tunnel erupted after the final whistle, according to German news reports.

Jobe Bellingham was replaced at halftime in the team’s first Bundesliga match since joining Borussia Dortmund for £32 million from Sunderland this summer.

Mark, who also serves as Jobe’s counsellor, was especially enraged, according to German outlet Sky Sports.

Security recognised the Bellinghams and escorted them into the inner sanctum while they waited for their son.

Mark Bellingham was said to be extremely angry during a lengthy conversation with Sebastian Kehl, Dortmund’s sporting director.

According to German news source BILD, Mark Bellingham “made no secret of his opinion” and attempted to speak with Kovac directly.

Speaking to Sky Sports in Germany, Kehl said: “We are all disappointed with yesterday’s result. However the area in question is reserved for players, coaches, and management not families or advisors. This won’t happen again. We’ve made sure everyone involved is fully aware of this.”
