Jordan predicted lineup vs Algeria for FIFA World Cup 2026

Jordan enter their second FIFA World Cup 2026 group-stage fixture under pressure following a 3-1 defeat to Austria in their opening match. Despite showing attacking intent during phases of the contest, the Asian side struggled to contain Austria’s forward line. They now find themselves needing a positive result against Algeria to strengthen their chances of progressing to the knockout rounds.

Algeria, meanwhile, began their campaign with a disappointing 3-0 loss to Argentina. They are equally desperate for points.

With both teams still searching for their first victory of the tournament, the upcoming clash has all the ingredients of a fiercely contested encounter. Jordan will once again place their faith in a core of experienced internationals. They are likely to be led by star attacker Mousa Al-Tamari, as they attempt to bounce back on the world stage.

Who all will be expected to be in the starting lineup?

Goalkeeper Yazeed Abulaila remains one of Jordan’s most dependable performers and provides valuable experience at the back. His reflexes, command of the penalty area and leadership qualities will be essential against an Algerian attack eager to respond after a frustrating opening fixture.

Noor Al-Rawabdeh occupies a central role and helps dictate the tempo through his passing and movement. Odeh Fakhoury operates in an advanced creative role. He serves as an important link between midfield and attack. His movement and technical quality allow Jordan to create openings against organised defensive structures.

Mousa Al-Tamari remains the team’s biggest attacking threat. The winger’s pace, dribbling ability and eye for goal make him the player most capable of producing decisive moments in the final third.

Leading the line is Ali Olwan, whose intelligent movement and finishing ability provide Jordan with a focal point in attack. His partnership with Al-Tamari will be central to Jordan’s hopes of causing problems for the Algerian defence.
