Sofyan Amrabat is currently on loan to Manchester United

Juventus are keen on Sofyan Amrabat, although Manchester United are not expected to make the loan transfer permanent this summer.

After his season-long loan at Old Trafford expires, the Morocco international will return to Fiorentina, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness).

However, he may choose to sign with Juventus. The 27-year-old, whose contract at Fiorentina expires in 2025, is reportedly “feeling nostalgic” for Serie A, and the Old Lady may be his next stop.

Amrabat has already registered 22 appearances for Manchester United, switching between midfield and left back. The emergence of Kobbie Mainoo in the Red Devils’ midfield has reduced his playing time, and the Moroccan has occasionally performed poorly when he has. If Amrabat leaves this summer, it might be best for everyone.

Born in Huizen, the Netherlands, the former player for Utrecht, Feyenoord, and Club Brugge represented his country at the Under-15 level before moving to Morocco for the Under-17 and beyond teams. Since then, he has accrued 55 caps for Morocco.

When his United loan runs out, Amrabat is going to attempt to play as much as possible. The Red Devils play Liverpool in the FA Cup final on Sunday, and then they go to Brentford on March 30 for a Premier League match.

Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli thinks Amrabat would be a nice addition to the team in Turin and is interested in signing him when he returns to Fiorentina in the summer. The 27-year-old’s deal with the Viola ends in June 2025, therefore the Old Lady is anticipated to make a play for him in the upcoming months. They looked into a move for him last summer.

Bruno Guimaraes of Newcastle United is a particular midfielder who might move to Old Trafford during the summer. With a £100 million release provision, the Brazilian may become a target, especially with Dan Ashworth’s impending appointment as sporting director.

“Ashworth joined Newcastle six months after Guimaraes arrived at St James’ Park, quickly becoming a huge fan of the midfielder. But he is currently on gardening leave as United negotiate a compensation fee so they can hand him the reins at Old Trafford.

“Those talks are expected to be completed soon and it appears Ashworth will launch a raid on his soon-to-be former club. With The Red Devils in need of a major boost to their squad, Guimaraes has emerged as a lead target.

“Ashworth is described as being in ‘love with his game’ and has given his endorsement to making a move for the Newcastle star. But United would have to fork out a fee of £100 million in order to bring him to Old Trafford.”
