Lille vs OGC Nice Prediction, lineups, betting tips & odds
The hosts are on an unprecedented 20-match undefeated streak.
The fourth and fifth-placed teams in Ligue 1 will square off in a match of epic proportions. Nice and Lille are going neck to neck with just a point between them and a victory here will do wonders for both teams. While Nice have earned 30 points in 17 matches, Lille have earned 29 points in an equal number of games.
However, the hosts have not been able to win their last three matches in the league. They have drawn games against Marseille, Nantes, and Auxerre and have dropped points in the process. Nice on the other hand have won back-to-back games and will hope to make three in a row in the French league.
Kick-Off:
Saturday,18th January, 1:35 AM IST
Location: Stade Pierre-Mauroy, France
Form:
Lille: D-W-D-D-W
Nice: D-W-W-W-W
Players to Watch:
Jonathan David (Lille)
The player who will make all the difference for the northern French side. The American-born Canadian player has so far scored 11 goals in 17 appearances this season in the Ligue 1. Apart from this, he has also made two assists.
David, who fantasizes about playing for Barcelona has clearly expressed his desire of representing the Catalan club in the future. His contract will end in 2025, making him a free agent. If his current club want to play it smart they should at all costs get him a new contract at the earliest as the top clubs in Europe are looking to acquire his services.
Evann Guessand (Nice)
Born in Ajaccio France, Evann Guessand is a youth academy player from Nice. Guessand started his senior career for Nice in 2020 and has so far made 72 appearances for the club. He was however loaned out to Luausanne-Sport and Nantes for one year spells during the 2020-2021 and 2022-2023 season.
Since his return to his parent club, Guessand has been on a dream run. This year has been a testament to that. If anybody can do it for Nice this year, it has to be the Ivorian international.

Match Prediction
It’s hard to pick a side when both teams are so evenly matched. Both Lille and Nice have the ability to outdo one another at any given time. In spite of that, the hosts will have that little edge to their game mainly because of Jonathan David’s fiery form and playing to a home crowd advantage.
Prediction: Lille 3-1 Nice
