Lionel Messi becomes youngest & fastest footballer to reach 875 career goals

The Argentine has now reached the landmark of 875 career goals.

In Inter Miami’s 3-1 victory over LA Galaxy, Lionel Messi once again created history by becoming the youngest player in world football annals to score his 875th goal.

After a brief injury break, Messi made an immediate impression. He played 45 minutes and scored the game-winning goal against the reigning MLS champions to reach the milestone.

In a total of 1,116 games, he accomplished it in the fewest ever. After an incredible individual run, he scored with a shot that left the goalie defenceless, bringing back memories of his early Barcelona days.

Lionel Messi’s legendary journey so far

Messi’s debut goal for Barcelona against Albacete on May 1, 2005, marked the start of his professional career. At just 17 years old, he entered as a replacement in the 87th minute and scored a brilliant lob from a Ronaldinho assist to seal a 2-0 victory.

Due to an offside call, that goal initially caused controversy, but Messi swiftly demonstrated his worth by scoring twice in a similar manner. He became the youngest goal scorer in LaLiga at the time, and this was the beginning of an incredible journey with Barcelona.

Cristiano Ronaldo tops the all-time scoring record with 938 goals, while Messi is only 63 goals behind him. Lionel Messi has 389 career assists, demonstrating his prowess in playmaking in addition to his scoring prowess.

Over his career, he has contributed 1,263 direct goal involvements, including goals and assists.
