Lionel Messi has committed to staying with Inter Miami through 2028 by signing a new three-year deal with the MLS side. A social media clip of Messi penning his contract inside Inter Miami’s new stadium, Miami Freedom Park, which is scheduled to open in 2026, was used to make public the deal on Thursday, October 23.
“It makes me really happy to stay here and to continue with this project that, besides being a dream, has become a beautiful reality. Since I arrived in Miami, I’ve been very happy, so I’m truly glad to keep going here,” Messi said in a statement.
