The Reds are off to a positive start as they gear up for the new season.
The Liverpool squad members were given an extended break after the tragic death of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre. There were multiple teammates, fans and other football stars who paid tribute to the Jota brothers. Now they will be back in action, looking to get into motion to perform next season.
The Reds did great in their 2024-25 campaign. They went on to win the English Premier League title. They dominated the domestic league too but saw a failure in all of the other tournaments.
From the FA Cup to the Carabao Cup and the UEFA Champions League, the Reds did not live up to their standards. The key takeaway was that Arne Slot led the Liverpool side to the Premier League title in his debut season with the club. But they have a lot to work on.
They were knocked out of the oldest club cup competition, the FA Cup, by Plymouth Argyle in the fourth round. The Reds almost came close to winning the Carabao Cup, but the Eddie Howe-led Newcastle United outplayed them in the final of the competition. Despite dominating the league phase of the UCL, the Anfield giants were unable to continue their momentum.
They fell prey to Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16 stage. PSG eventually went on to win their first-ever Champions League title.
For the upcoming season, the team has started preparing. It will be interesting to see the Arne Slot-led side in action once again.

They have a well-balanced squad, which can prove to be very beneficial for them in the upcoming season. The Reds have also added Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and a few other players to the team. These new stars are surely going to be a big addition for them.
