Manchester United add Newcastle star Sandro Tonali to summer transfer shortlist alongside Adam Wharton & Elliot Anderson - Report

Casemiro is leaving the Red Devils at the end of the season.
Manchester United are reportedly targeting Newcastle star Sandro Tonali to reinforce their midfield in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Last month, the Italian star was linked to a high-profile transfer away to Arsenal from Newcastle. The £100 million-rated star is also being looked at by Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
Tonali, who joined Magpies for £55 million from AC Milan in 2023, is also on the wishlist of several Serie A clubs. However, according to the Telegraph, he is now a major target for Man United.
Manchester United add another midfielder to their list of targets

Their midfield shortlist also includes Adam Wharton of Crystal Palace and Elliot Anderson of Nottingham Forest, who are both expected to feature in England’s World Cup campaign this summer.
It is very clear to see that the club are targetting Premier League proven players who are ready to compete and take the club to the next level.

Under Michael Carrick, the Red Devils have won four straight league games and are aiming for Champions League participation at the end of the season.
However, with veteran Casemiro departing Old Trafford this summer on a free transfer, the club desperately need to sign new defensive midfielders.
Sandro Tonali has hence emerged as a strong candidate to take Casemiro’s place in the centre of United’s roster.
The 2022 Serie A champion with AC Milan still has more than three years left on his Newcastle contract. Since Tonali is not actively seeking a way out but is on the lookout for Champions League football.
Last week, Sandro Tonali’s representative also disclosed that the midfielder’s future on Tyneside will be discussed at a meeting with all parties this summer.
How much is Sandro Tonali worth?
He is valued at £100 million, according to different reports.
