The English midfielder has missed the majority of the season due to injuries
Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount has returned to training at Carrington ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup match against Liverpool.
The 25-year-old England international has missed games since November due to a calf issue. His last appearance for United came on November 11 at Old Trafford in a 1-0 victory over Luton Town.Even though Mount started light training again at the end of December, he hasn’t advanced as swiftly as he would have liked. His rookie season in the M16 has been hindered by injuries; so far, he has only made 12 appearances across all competitions.
Mount may have cost United up to ÂŁ60 million when he joined from Chelsea in July of last year, but in his first season at Old Trafford, he has spent a greater amount of time on the sidelines than on the playing field. In the Premier League, he has only made eight appearances.

Mount has demonstrated an exceptional work ethic during his rehabilitation phase, according to United, having “worked closely with the club’s medical staff.” The team has not provided a definite comeback date for him, even though they have provided a promising report on his current circumstances.
But during Friday’s pre-Everton press meeting, manager Erik ten Hag hinted that he might be willing to make a visit to Brentford following the international break. On Saturday, March 30, the Reds take on the Bees at Gtech Community Stadium.
The first of two matches away in West London is scheduled to take place in the city, the second of which will be against Mount’s previous team, Chelsea. Stamford Bridge will host United on Thursday, April 4.
